The Bridlington Lifeboat crew pay tribute to volunteer Alan Walker.

Ahead of an all-weather boat exercise, the crew lined up next to the vessel and hold a minute’s silence for ‘a true gentleman’.

A statement on the Bridlington RNLI’s Facebook page said: “Before our ALB exercise, the crew lined up to pay our respects to Alan Walker LVO at our station for many years, who passed away recently, with a minute’s silence.

“We were trying to work out how many children and adults benefited from Alan’s training and we worked out it runs into the thousands.

“A true gentleman and a station favourite, he will be sadly missed.”
