Bridlington-based author Alan Purser releases his second novel
A Bridlington-based author has published his second novel.
Alan Purser, who wrote The Brown Fedora, has released Simone with the help of Lodge Books.
The book tells of an ensuing love affair between Andrew and Simone.
The story is initially fashioned around Alan and a colleague, who were attending a pre-retirement course in Bath.
While they were taking an early evening stroll through the city, they came to the aid of an elderly gentleman who had fallen into the road.
That is where reality ends and the story of Simone and Andrew begins.
Alan said his self-published book has had positive and uplifting responses from his readers.
He said: “I would like to thank Lodge Books for their help and assistance in producing both this book, Simone, and my first one The Brown Fedora.”
After Alan and Cathy, his wife, retired nine years ago, they decided to move back to the Bridlington. They enjoy retirement and seaside life, with Alan’s writing, golf, and their love of gardening plus walking in the area.
Simone, priced £8.99 plus postage and packing, is available from Lodge Books, LULU.com, or [email protected] A Kindle version is also available at £4.95.
