Author’s free eBook offer to our readers
An author has made an eBook available for Bridlington Free Press readers to peruse free of charge following his travels from Bridlington to Lancaster.
Paul Amess’s book, entitled 54 Degrees North, charts some of the history and landmarks in the Bridlington area along with many other stories during the walk along the line of latitude.
The publication is likely to appeal to anyone who likes walking or history, and is part of Mr Amess’s History Walks series of books.
Mr Amess said: “The book is a light-hearted account of this walk, and has sold reasonably well on Amazon as both a print book and an eBook.
“It is the eBook version which I wish to make available for free. It is funny in parts and has had good reviews.
“The book is called 54 degrees North, and sees myself and my two friends Rob and Chris attempting to walk across England in as straight a line as possible, just to see what happens.
“We started just south of Bridlington, passed through York, Knaresborough and Harrogate, then across via Blubberhouses, to end up in Lancaster.
“We had a great time on this walk and learned much about the places we passed through, which is why I decided to turn this into a book.
“The ebook will be free online from Amazon from Monday, March 29 to Friday, April 2, no strings attached, as I just wanted to let as many people as possible know that it will be free for this period.”
