Parking patrols

POLICE are stepping up their efforts to stop parents from parking their cars illegally outside Burlington School.

PCSO Quinn said that he and his colleagues will be increasing their patrols after receiving a number of complaints about cars parking on the zig-zag lines in front of the school and using the private parking in the residential complex opposite the building.

Fixed penalty notices could be issued to offenders and PCSO Quinn said: “Obviously there are some parents who walk their children to school and their children are being put in danger by cars stopping on the zig-zag lines.

“We’ve also had complaints from residents and we will be increasing our patrols and dealing with offenders appropriately.”
