A free workshop will be held on Friday 31 March for people wanting to learn about oral history.

This is one of the activities offered through the Bridlington Quay Townscape Heritage project, which is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The session will take place at King Street Library between 10am and 4.30pm.

The training is open to anyone who would be interested in helping to record the recent history of Bridlington Quay. It is hoped that the participants will use their new-found expertise to help create an archive of stories and memories about Bridlington’s seaside history.

A spokesman for the event said: “Places are free, but are limited and priority will be given to those in Bridlington.”

To book a place on the workshop email Tania Weston tania.weston@eastriding.gov.uk or call 01482 391712.
