For the first time in the Old Bridlingtonian Club’s 115-year history, a reunion was held in France.

Fourteen members and guests travelled to Chantilly, north of Paris, to meet at the Auberge Le Vertugadin near the centre of town.

There they enjoyed good company, good wine and an excellent lunch, served outside in a walled courtyard on a warm and sunny day.

Being an informal occasion, speeches were kept to a minimum.

It is hoped to repeat the event every year.

The next meeting of the Old Bridlingtonian Club will be the Sheffield Branch Reunion, to be held at Tapton Hall, Sheffield, at 1pm on Saturday 20 October.

Further information on this or any of the club’s events can be found on the Club website.
