A BRIDLINGTON man is helping to organise a rock festival which will be held in Hull later this month.
Music writer Nick Taylor, 22, of Bridlington, known more commonly by his pen name Nico Davidson, is one of the organisers of the Valkyrian Festival, which will give fans of rock, metal and hardcore music a chance to see some of their favourite northern bands.
The event, on Sunday November 27, will feature more than 10 acts, including Bridlington’s own classic rockers Alice In Thunderland.
The festival, organised by Valkyrian Music and Music HQ, will raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Nick said: “We are raising money for Macmillan as they make such a difference, and most people know someone who has been affected by cancer.
“My uncle had lung cancer and he had fantastic support from the Macmillan nurses. This is a way to give something back.”
The one day festival, which also features a charity raffle, will kick off at The Ringside in Beverley Road, Hull, at 2pm with tickets available on the door for £3.
