An annual photographic competition organised as a joint venture by the Bridlington Lions Club and the North Wolds Lion Club proved to be a great success.

The competition was judged by Mike Barnard, and the theme this year was ‘winter’ with pupils from each school submitting a range of pictures in order to win the top prize.

A Lions spokesperson said: “Thirteen primary schools took part this year and they all did very well, but after judging, New Pasture Lane School in Bridlington were the winners, with Skipsea School second and Bay Primary taking third place.
