A new charity shop, which has just opened in Bridlington, is calling for local people to show their support for the community by donating their unwanted goods.
The YMCA shop on King Street Bridlington opened last month and has received great support from shoppers.
YMCA staff are appealing to local people to volunteer their time or donate any unwanted quality items, particularly small pieces of furniture, children’s clothes and toys, in order to help them raise vital funds needed to run local YMCA services.
Emma Castle YMCA Area Manager said: “We would like to invite local people to come in and visit us and see the great things we have done in the shop. The YMCA are expanding and have created a new creative and vintage look for our Charity shops that is being rolled out to new stores. Customers have given great feedback on the new vintage look which gives a unique shopping experience. We would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone who is interested in volunteering or making a donation.”
Funds raised by YMCA retail shops, go towards helping important areas of YMCA work including; giving young people a safe place to stay, creating healthy and active communities, supporting pupils in education or providing training and skills for life.
If you would like to volunteer your time or donate goods, please contact: Manager Polly on 01262 604301 or please just pop in to the shop.
