Bridlington’s mayor took to the skies for one of the final activites of his year in office. Cllr Cyril Marsburg and the town council’s civic officer Abbi Grosse completed a skydive last Friday to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. He said: “It was brilliant, well worth the wait.
“We had to wait until 1.50pm because of the weather, and when we were in the plane I could see Abbi was very nervous.
“But I told her that when she had done it, she would want to do another one. And she did. I’m very proud of her.” His fund-raising efforts during his third term as Bridlington mayor have seen him raise around £3,500 for the charity.
