Saint Catherine’s Hospice is thanking its supporters in Bridlington for their help over three decades as it gets ready to celebrate 30 years of care.
The 30 year celebrations start in April with an 80s Rewind Party which will turn the clock back to the decade when the hospice first opened its doors.
Saint Catherine’s has supported many thousands of families through the toughest times of their lives during 30 years of care.
But Chief Executive Mike Wilkerson said that none of that help could have happened without immense help from the community, including many loyal supporters in the Bridlington area.
“We cannot thank people enough for everything they have done for Saint Catherine’s over the years,” he said.
“It’s their hard work and dedication which has given the hospice a past to be proud of and a future committed to building on what the founders started all those years ago.”
The first event of the 30th year is an 80s Rewind Party at The Theatre Ballroom at the Flower of May Holiday Park, Lebberston, near Scarborough, where the Scarborough Fair Collection’s fairground rides will be available. Tickets are £20, including a hog roast.
Hospice fundraiser Louise Gravestock said: “With the fabulous support of the community, we have been able to develop our facilities and services to provide vital care for more and more families in our area. That’s certainly something worth celebrating.”
Tickets for the event can be bought via the hospice website at www.stcatherineshospice-nyorks.org, or by calling 01723 378406.
