Man breaks ankle after assault

A man sustained a broken ankle following an incident in Bridlington last weekend.

At the junction of Manor Street and Queen Street in Bridlington in the early hours of Sunday April 28, two men, who were not known to each other, were both ejected from Shades nightclub following an incident inside the premises.

One, a 22-year-old Bridlington man, walked away with his girlfriend and as they did the other man walked towards them and assaulted him.

The 22-year-old fell to the floor and he continued to be assaulted before the victim’s girlfriend chased the offender away and he ran in an unknown direction.

The injured man attended Bridlington Hospital were he was treated for a broken ankle.

The offender is described as a white man, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, 5ft 8ins tall and of a stocky build with spiky blonde hair.

Anyone who can identify the offender, or who may have information in connection with the assault is asked to call Humberside Police on 101 quoting crime reference number 1971598.
