Man airlifted to hospital after balcony fall

A MAN is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after falling from a balcony at a block of flats in Bridlington.

The man, who is believed to be in his 40s, was airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary after the fall at Ebor Flats, in Ferndale on Friday evening (August 24).

Police were called to the scene at 6.05pm following reports of a “domestic incident.”

Firefighters helped paramedics transfer the man to a nearby search and rescue helicopter from RAF Leconfield.

The Humber Coastguard also attended the incident and maintained communication between the helicopter and ambulance staff.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said today (Monday August 27) that no arrests had been made and enquiries were ongoing.
