Former model and Emmerdale star Lorraine Chase will headline this year’s pantomime at the Spa, Bridlington.
She will play the Wicked Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Lorraine has been a household name since the 1970s when she starred in a series of drinks commercials; bringing the phrases, “Nah, Luton Airport” and “Nice ‘ere innit?” into common use and scoring 41st place in the nation’s all-time favourite commercials.
Now with a distinguished career; she is most associated with the role of ex-convict, Stephanie Forsythe in Emmerdale. She was prominent in many controversial storylines until, in November 2006, her character was sentenced to life in jail.
Andrew Aldis, general manager of the Spa, Bridlington, said, “A Wicked Queen has to be able to do wicked; and her back catalogue of work proves that this is the kind of role she relishes.
“We are absolutely delighted to have her on board and we’re looking forward welcoming her later this year.
“We have been working to present superb pantomimes over the past few years and the pantomime in 2015 was the highest grossing and highest attended in the modern history of The Spa Bridlington. We are committed to traditional pantomimes and timeless comedy; the way a pantomime should be.”
