Lifeboat crew invites people to open day

The lifeboat crew will be hosting an open day at the station this Saturday.

Bridlington lifeboat crew and management teams are inviting their supporters and members of the public to the first open day at the new Lifeboat Station which will be held this Saturday (28 July).

The Mayor of Bridlington Councillor Colin Croft will open the proceedings at 11am.

There will be live music during the day along with a DJ on hand to keep the public entertained.

A number of popular stalls will be available along with tombola, crafts, face painting and the chance to try and soak the sailor or “Welly Wanging”.

Coastguards and Lifeguards will be on hand with their vehicles and a jet ski to view and give advice on Safety at the seaside.

But the aim of the day is to let the public view the new lifeboat station and get a close look at the new Shannon class lifeboat “Antony Patrick Jones” with lifeboat crew at hand to answer any questions.
