Havelock Place is a rat run. The council has received many complaints regarding the use of this road.
There are clear signs at both sides which state that the road is to be used for access only.
The thing that worries me is that I and my family have so many times nearly been run down due to impatient drivers going down the road as fast as possible.
The same drivers which are often taxis, also see it fit to drive on the path to get past parked cars and other traffic.
My question to East Riding of Yorkshire Council is this, how many times does a “near miss” need to turn into a full injury or death before the situation is addressed? Also to the drivers who do use the road if any of you’re family is injured or killed, how would you react if you found out the driver was using the road illegally?
