Sir Greg Knight’s return to office was tinged with sadness for the Tory MPs who lost their seats in the latest general election (quote from the Free Press).
I was more than “tinged with sadness” when he made no reference to the Bridlington Hospital. He is enthusiastic over the marina etc, but what about restoring the hospital? After all we’ve witnessed its demise over his perplexing reign.
It’s no good proudly referring to five terms in office, it would be more commendable if the people of Bridlington had a champion who is prepared to fight for what was originally considered a necessity, but which now doesn’t even figure in his script!
