It’s all aboard for this year’s Bridlington Mayor’s Christmas card competition.
The competition which attracts entries from young designers, is now in its seventh year.
The winning entry will be printed on around 150 Christmas cards on the Mayor’s official list.
Current Mayor Councillor John Copsey is encouraging all youngsters to get on board and enter the Chirstmas card competition.
He said: “It is an excellent competition and as I am a keen sailor I am perhaps looking for something that has a nautical flavour, but that does not necessarily have to be the case.”
The competition is open to five to 16 year olds and as well as the winner having their design turned into this year’s festive card, they will receive a host of prizes in recognition of their artistic achievement.
The prizes are set to include a £50 Argos voucher and a family ticket to Bridlington Spa Pantomime. Second prize is a £30 voucher and third a £20 voucher.
All designs should be sent or delivered to Bridlington Town Council at 62 Quay Road, Bridlington, by Sunday November 22.
All entrants must be sure to include their name, age, and school they are currently attending.
The prizes have been offered by Bridlington Town Council and Bridlington Spa.
The cards will be on display at Santa’s Grotto which is to relocate to the top floor of Boyes. Father Christmas will be at his grotto every weekend in December up until Christmas .
