The Brightening Up Bridlington team are looking for new members to give the town a spring clean.

If you have a sense of civic pride and a desire to make a difference, they’d love to hear from you.

The community initiative is run in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Bridlington Town Council.

The bags filled with litter are always collected on the same day by the ERYC Streetscene team.

Sessions run every third Saturday of the month and the team meets in the Bridlington Spa foyer at 9am. All equipment is provided and you can spend as much or as little time as you can spare.

“We also keep an eye out for, report and have cleaned away any graffiti that we spot around the town”, said organiser Martyn Coltman.

“The same goes for fly-tipping and general maintenance issues.

“We are always keen to hear from locals or visitors who feel they know of an area that needs attention.”
