THE SPA welcomed The xx to Bridlington in September, and now another big star is heading to the venue this weekend.

Jack White, of White Stripes fame, comes to The Spa on Sunday, November 4, as part of his six date UK and Ireland Tour.

His return to Bridlington comes more than eight years after he visited with his band White Stripes in January 2004.

Jack White formed the White Stripes in 1997 and went on to have a string of critically acclaimed albums, as well as being ranked number 17 on Rolling Stone’s list of ‘The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time’.

More recently his debut solo album, Blunderbuss, was released in April.

Andrew Aldis, general manger of The Spa Bridlington, said: “Having an internationally renowned artist such as Jack White choose to perform at The Spa Bridlington puts the venue in the spotlight and adds to the growing list of superb acts that have performed at the venue over the years.

“I am delighted that it’s a weekend show, giving members of the public the opportunity to have a weekend away in Bridlington, one of the premier east coast destinations.”
