A FURTHER CCTV image of a man suspected of stealing a £24,000 diamond ring from a Bridlington jewellers has been released by police.
The ring was taken from Griffins Jewellers on Prospect Street on Saturday, January 21, between 12.45pm and 12.57pm when a man entered the store and asked the female shop assistant if he could look at some jewellery on display in the window.
He then leant past the member of staff, grabbing the ring and another item of jewellery, before handing one back to the shop assistant and leaving with the diamond ring.
The man was decribed as being white, between 35 and 42-years-old, and of a medium build. He was wearing a baseball cap, a light coloured top, possibly with a hood, with a white t-shirt beneath, and light coloured jeans.
Following the incident police released two e-fit images of the man, along with other CCTV images.
Police in North Yorkshire believe this man may also be responsible for two high value jewellery thefts in York.
