House plans go before committee

PLANNING applications to buld new village homes were going before today’s East Riding of Yorkshire Council planning committee.

East Riding Construction’s application to build three new homes after the demolition of stable building at the rear of 31 High Street, Bempton, has already been refused by the council’s eastern area planning sub-committee on the grounds it would have a dominating and overbearing impact and constitutes overdevelopment of the site.

The second application for the construction of a dormer bungalow following demolition of an existing property at Lartle Hoose in North Marine Road, Flamborough, had also been refused as being too large for the plot and out of character with the street scene, producing an overbearing impact. Both applications are being recommended for refusal to the full planning committee.
