Bridlington’s big new hotel has thrown its support behind the town’s huge 1940s festival.

Premier Inn is the latest sponsor of next month’s event, which features wartime music and vintage vehicles.

Old Town Association spokesman David Hinde said: “Many of our visitors are looking to make a long weekend out of it visiting the area’s surrounding attractions including the Heritage Coast and the demand for quality accommodation in Bridlington that weekend is always high.

“We are proud to be working with Premier Inn as our new sponsor to spread the word in the run-up to the festival in less than a month’s time.”

Laura Jones, operations manager at Premier Inn in Bridlington said: “The 1940s Festival is a great event for the local community, and we are pleased we are able to sponsor the event now the hotel is open.

“We hope that the festival will bring even more people to the area and the team look forward to welcoming many of those attending through the doors or our brand new hotel and ensuring they have a great stay.”
