Hospice seeks new high-fliers

IF SKYDIVING is something you have always wanted to try, why not do it for a good cause?

Saint Catherine’s Hospice in Scarborough wants those brave enough to take to the skies for the thrill of a lifetime to complete a parachute jump in Bridlington in support of patient care.

Their annual sponsored parachute day is on Saturday, August 6 at Bridlington Skydive Centre at Grindale airfield, and each year more people take up the challenge.

Last year, 14 dare-devil supporters raised over £7,000 in sponsorship for patient care.

For a tandem jump, parachutists have to raise at least £395 in sponsorship and the fund-raising team has plenty of ideas to help them raise the money.

Anyone interested in taking part should contact hospice fund-raiser Louise Leah on 01723 378406 or email her at louise.leah@st-catherineshospice.org.uk for a registration pack.
