One of the area’s biggest holiday parks has announced a three-year partnership with the RNLI.

Thornwick Bay at Flamborough will be running a Safe And Secure campaign to teach visitors about keeping out of danger on the beach and will be supporting lifeboat fund-raising campaigns. Activities will also be held at neighbouring camps Primrose Valley, Blue Dolphin and Reighton Sands, which are also owned by Haven.

Leesa Harwood, director of community lifesaving at the RNLI, said: “Our volunteers and staff will be working alongside the Haven team at holiday parks and around the coast to create fun family activities, share essential safety advice and raise money to support our ongoing drowning prevention and lifesaving work.”
