Staff at Bridlington’s Marks and Spencer store will be raising money for the Free Press-backed Have A Heart, Save A Life campaign in its final days.
The branch is only staying open until April 21, but from Saturday, customers will be able to give donations to boost the total.
The appeal is aiming to raise £5,000 so that 100 young adults can be tested at a heart-screening day in Bridlington later this year.
It is in memory of James Moorfoot, who died during a football match last year. Some of his Langtoft team-mates are hoping to get involved with the fundraising at M&S on Saturday.
The appeal has already passed £1,350 in just a couple of weeks and Gail Slater, who is one of the staff members running the campaign, said: “We are really pleased with how things are going.”
