Bridlington Army Cadets are teaming up with the British Heart Foundation this weekend to pass on skills which could be the difference between life and death.
As part of the national Restart A Heart campaign, the team will be welcoming members of the public to the drill hall in Swindon Street
Colour sergeant and unit commander Zara Thorpe said: “We teach this to the cadets from the day they walk in and I think it should be taught in schools.
“We will be looking at basic life-saving skills such as CPR and an introduction to how to use a defibrillator.
There will also be a coffee and cake sale to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
Three free sessions will be held, 10am-noon, noon-2pm and 2pm-4pm. There is no need to book a place in advance.
