Members of Bridlington Tourism Association and staff from the Spa will be pedalling 490km on exercise bikes in aid of the Alzheimers Society.

Six or seven bikes will be set up in the venue on Sunday, April 2 and the volunteers are hoping to complete the challenge in under five hours.

Association secretary Isla Pickup said: “The BTA wanted to promote the Tour de Yorkshire coming to Bridlington again and what it does for the town.”

The professional cyclists will line up outside the Spa for the start of this year’s race on Friday, April 28, and will cover 490km over three days.
