Garden shed set on fire in Bridlington

POLICE are appealing for information after an arsonist targeted a garden shed at a property in Bridlington on Friday.

A fire was spotted by a neighbour at around 5am on Friday, October 5, at the property on Burstall Hill, Bridlington.

The neighbour alerted the owner of the property and the fire was successfully extinguished, but not before the contents of the shed and its structure were significantly damaged.

It is believed that the fire may have been started deliberately and police have arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the incident. He has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the vicinity of the property on Burstall Hill, Bridlington between 2am and 5am on Friday October 5.
