A POST-morten examination on the woman in her 40s who fell 30ft from a seafront flat has revealed her cause of death was being consistent with a fall.

Police say the death continues to be treated as unexplained and a 36-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the incident which happened around 11.30pm on Monday remains in police custody helping inquiries to establish the circumstances of how the woman died.

The identity of the woman has still not been released by police although her next of kin have been informed.

She fell from a first floor flat in a block of three flats above the Marina Cafe on South Marine Drive behind Bridlington Spa and died at the scene.

The area was still cordoned off today.
