Members of the Fire Brigade’s Union will strike this Friday and Saturday for a third time in a dispute with the government over pensions.
The strike will happen between 6-10pm on both days, but the Humberside Fire and Rescue Service will provide a reduced emergency response service during this period.
The service has issued advice to householders and businesses prior to the strike to help avoid the risk of fire, found at www.humbersidefire.gov.uk.
Deputy Chief Fire Officer Dene Sanders said: “We always warn people to take care because it is far better to avoid problems happening in the first place. That message counts more than ever during strike periods because while we will still be responding to 999 calls, the level of service will be reduced.
