Humberside Fire were called to a potentially fatal incident involving an elderly man in Bridlington last night.
The ambulance service were intially called to the premises on Eighth Avenue, Fifth Avenue in Bridlington just before 9pm on Wednesday 17 June.
The man is said to have fallen while cooking in his property and the fire service were called to assist entering into the building.
Before the service arrived, the man’s carer had gained entry into the building to aid him and turn off the cooker before the parademics assessed occupant.
Humberside Fire helped the elderly gentleman back into his chair and also opened the windows of the property in order to clear the cooking fumes.
