Even with the best of intentions, it can take quite a while to get round to sending thank you letters after your wedding day.
But when yours was the most high-profile ceremony of the year, watched by millions of people around the world, replying to everyone who sent good wishes is a mammoth task.
However, the patience of pupils at Boynton Primary School has been rewarded and they have received a letter from Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Ahead of the service at Windsor Castle in May, the children sent poems and letters of congratulations to the couple.
Last week, a reply arrived from the offices at Kensington Palace saying: “Their Royal Highnesses have been overwhelmed by all the messages they have received and were immensely touched that the children wrote such special poems”
Headteacher Luke Fletcher said: “It was such a fantastic surprise to receive the letters and cards from Kensington Palace.
“The staff at Boynton are caring and thoughtful.
“They have done some great work with the children to encourage them to send their best work to congratulate the happy couple.
“The children were only too happy to be involved and were swept away by the response”
