A Driffield man was arrested for being drunk and disorderly at the cinema in Bridlington.
Terry Wilkinson, 36, of Mill Street, was also found to have a small quantity of cannabis in his possession, East Riding Magistrates’ Court heard.
Prosecuting, Colette Dixon said police were called after the defendant had been reported as being threatening and abusive atThe Forum cinema.
“They initially wanted to deal with him by way of a dispersal notice, but he continued to swear and shout in the street and was abusive, so he was arrested,” she added.
The value of cannabis found on Wilkinson was less than £1, the court heard.
Defending himself, he had nothing to say to the court, other than confirming that he was unemployed. Wilkinson pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and to possession of cannabis. He was given 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
