Eight cars were targeted in one night as vandals kicked wing mirrors off in what Bridlington police have called ‘a mindless act of criminal damage’.
Hundreds of pounds worth of damage was caused in Lawson Road, Carlton Street and Queensgate Square overnight last Tuesday.
PCSO Andrea Humphrey said: “This is a mindless act of criminal damage to hard working residents who simply parked their car overnight on the road.
“The offender may be a resident of Bridlington and someone may know who that person is, I am appealing for anyone who knows the culprit to come forward so that we can hold them to account.
“Anyone found causing damage to vehicles will be severely dealt with and placed before the courts.
Residents woke to find their cars damaged, many had their wing mirrors kicked off and stolen, others had their wing mirrors damaged.
In the one night, five cars on Lawson Road, two on Carlton Street and one on Queensgate Square were targeted.
