A MAN has been arrested in connection with alleged tattooing of a 14-year-old Bridlington girl.
Police are now appealing for any information about other possible cases in the town.
A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of tattooing a minor, under 18, contrary to the Tattooing of Minors Act 1969. He has since been release on police bail while investigations continue.
The girl had a tattoo done without her parents permission and police were informed.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Humberside Police on 0845 60 60 222 quoting log 345 of 20 January 2011.
The tattooing of minors act 1969 makes it illegal to anyone to tattoo anyone under the age of 18 years of age.
A tattoo artist should ask to see proof of age and record this before agreeing to tattoo anyone.
