Three men have been charged with offences following an investigation into historic allegations of sexual abuse at St Williams Care Home in Market Weighton, East Yorkshire.
Operation Reno commenced in September 2010 and has involved a very detailed and thorough investigation into allegations made by a large number of complainants.
Summonses have now been served to James Carragher, Anthony McCallen and Michael Curran with the following 93 offences:
James Carragher (74) has been charged with 47 counts of indecent assault, two counts of attempt buggery and ten counts of buggery;
Anthony McCallen (68) has been charged with 24 counts of indecent assault and eight counts of buggery;
Michael Curran (61) has been charged with one count of indecent assault and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The offences are alleged to have taken place between 1973 and 1993 and involve a total of 20 victims.
The first hearing for the three suspects will be at Leeds Magistrates Court on Friday 21 November 2014.
