POLICE APPEAL: 54-year-old punched to ground at Tesco

Humberside Police are appealing for information after a 54-year-old man was allegedly assaulted while waiting for a taxi outside Tesco.

The incident occurred on Tuesday 21 October at 10.30pm, when police say the victim, who was sat on a bench, was approached by two men aged between 20 and 25 who asked him for a cigarette lighter.

The 54-year-old man stood up to get the lighter from his pocket when one of the men punched him, knocking him to the ground.

The victim sustained a cut to his lip and a broken tooth.

The suspects are described as both having dark hair and of average build and about six foot tall.
