A MOTHER has allegedly been assaulted by another woman after collecting her child from school.

Police have appealed for witnesses after the alleged assault which happened on Marton Road, Bridlington between 3.20pm and 3.30pm on Tuesday November 27.

A 38-year-old woman was walking along Marton Road with her child who she had just collected from school when she was approached by a woman she knew.

The woman allegedly punched the victim in the face and grabbed her hair before pulling her to the floor and then left the scene.

The victim sustained bruising to her arms and face and a bloodshot eye but did not require hospital treatment.

Police want to hear from independent witnesses and have asked that anyone who saw the assault or has any information about the incident contact Humberside Police on 101 referring to log 477 of November 27.
