The rainbow flag will be raised at Bridlington police station tomorrow, to show Humberside Police’s support for the regions’s LGBTQ community.
the symbol will be displayed at eight of the force’s base for the next 10 days, ahead of the Hull Pride event.
Community cohesion officer for Hull and East Riding and ally for the LGBTQ community PC Danny Fleming said: “This is a significant event for both Humberside Police and the LGBTQ community in that the police have never flown this community flag across the force area before.
“This shows the strength in partnership that Humberside Police and the LGBTQ community have now, and in the future. Long may it continue.”
