Five people due in court after serious attack in Bridlington

Five people have been charged in connection with a serious attack on the East Coast.

Four men and a 17-year-old boy are due to appear in court this morning after the assault on Marshall Avenue in Bridlington on Saturday night which left a man with "potentially life-threatening injuries".

Police say a second man was also seriously injured in the incident.

George Halliday, 36, of Trinity Road, Bridlington; Ryan Cooper, 18, of Sewerby Road, Bridlington; Guy Saleh, 18, of Fairfield Road, Bridlington; Jeremy Wilson Wetherill, 43, of Fairfield Road and the 17-year-old – who cannot legally be named – are charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and one count of aggravated burglary.
