Police are appealing for help identifying the man in this photo who they suspect assaulted two young men outside a Bridlington pub.

The victims were nearby to the George Pub when the stranger allegedly approached them and conducted an unprovoked attack on them both.

A police spokesperson said: “The first victim had a backpack containing a mobile phone, iPad, 3DS console and charger, DS games and a wallet taken from his back during the assault. He also sustained a broken jaw in the assault which resulted in the victim requiring two metal plates put in his jaw and the removal of a tooth.

“The second victim received cuts, bruises and swelling to the face, which required a number of stitches.

“The offender is described as; 5ft 7” tall, stocky/chubby build with short dark hair that was possibly shaved at the sides. He is believed to be in his early 20’s and had a West Yorkshire accent. He wore a white short sleeved T-shirt and possibly grey joggers. It is believed he may have been staying on the South side of Bridlington.

“CCTV cameras in Bridlington did manage to capture a man police would very much like to speak to, who may be able to help with their enquiries.”

If anyone recognises the man seen in the CCTV still, please call Humberside Police on 101, quoting crime reference number 2138382.
