A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill after a crossbow bolt was found in the front door of a house in Bridlington town centre.
Police were called to Hamilton Road in the early hours and scenes of crimes officers have been working in the area throughout the morning.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: "We were called shortly after midnight with reports of a crossbow bolt being discovered in a door of a house on Hamilton Road, Bridlington. No one was injured in the incident.
"Investigations are underway and we would urge anyone with any information to call us on 101 quoting log 1 of 13/07/18.
"Alternatively, if you prefer to remain anonymous, you can report information via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
