Bicycle allegedly thrown at man

TWO teenagers have been arrested in connection with an incident in which a 59-year old man allegedly had a push bike thrown at him.

Police have appealed for information following an alleged assault which happened on South Marine Drive, in Bridlington between 8.15pm and 8.44pm on Saturday June 9.

A 59-year old man was driving home when he tried to intervene in a fight between a group of men. But as he did so it is alleged that one of the men threw a glass object at the man which hit him on his ankle.

The fight continued towards the seafront and as the 59 year old man followed the men it is alleged that he was hit on the arm with a bicycle which was thrown at him, causing some bruising.

Police arrested two 16-year old boys a 14-year old boy in connection with the incident.

They have both been released on bail pending further enquiries to a date in July.
