Appeal to locate family after incident

Police are trying to locate a family that was inadvertently caught up in an incident of disorder that happened in a Bridlington street.

A group of three to four people, thought to be aged in their late teens to early 20s and a mix of both young men and women, are alleged to have thrown a piece of wood in the direction of a couple during a dispute between the them.

It is thought that the wood almost hit a child who was in the area with their family at the time and whose parents made comments towards the group.

Officers investigating the incident that happened opposite the Job Centre on Quay Road in Bridlington at 3pm on Saturday November 7 are keen to locate the family involved and ask that they or any other witnesses contact 101 referring to log 312 of November 7.
