Humberside Police have revealed that 51 people were arrested in first week of Op Galaxy intensification.

In a bid to continue to disrupt and dismantle criminality, officers are ramping up proactive work throughout the force area for a four-week period.

People were arrested across Hull, East Yorkshire and North and North East Lincolnshire on suspicion of crimes relating to organised crime, drug-related offences, violent crime, robbery, burglary and anti-social behaviour.

Following this, eight warrants have been executed with seven people arrested as a result. A quantity of cash and drugs have also been seized.

Superintendent Paul Butler, leading the operation, said: “All of our teams throughout Humberside Police continue to make our area a hostile place for criminals and we ask anyone with any information about crime in our area to get in touch.
