The venue will be able comfortably seat 350 people for a seated dinner and dance and in excess of over 700 people theatre style.

The venue will also incorporate all the expected facilities including spacious kitchens and toilets to service these larger events. The showground also provides ample car parking and the potential for camping to support events at the Rix Pavilion.

To celebrate this auspicious period in the Driffield Agricultural Society’s history the Society will be holding a Grand Opening Ceremony and Luncheon on Wednesday, 25th March, 2015.

As a mark of the importance of this opening to both the Society and the Community the Society is proud to announce that the Countess of Wessex has graciously agreed to perform the opening ceremony.

The impact of having this size and quality of facility of the Showground is immense.

Not only will it ensure the financial viability of the Driffield Agricultural Society for generations to come and allow the investment of much needed monies into their current and future educational and charitable projects, it will also provide a boast for the local economy by generating additional footfall into the area.
