Council’s helping hand for local clubs

Bridlington Town Council has handed out more than £4,000 to local organisations in its latest round of small grants.

Headlands School was given £500 towards the costs of running its annual Tour de Yorkshire community event and Bridlington Contemporary Gallery received £300 to produce an art map for the town.

Other donations went to Bridlington Bay Archers (£500), Bridlington Special Pool Support Group (£350), Bridlington Amateur Swimming Club (£250), U3A Bridlington Kurling (£250), Bridlington Branch of Cruse Bereavement Care (£500), F.ocus Photographic Group (£400), 6th Bridlington Scout Group (£218), 6th Bridlington Guides (£400), Bridlington Transition Town (£200) and The Hangout Youth Club (£500).
