Currently, there are three return trips from Leeds to Bridlington, but that is being cut right back.

The only Bridlington bus will arrive at 11.45am and head back just before 4pm. It will also give passengers the option to drop off in Scarborough first, rather than coming to Bridlington.

Scarborough retains 10 daily services and Whitby five, and passengers have also been hit by fare increases.

A statement on the Coastliner website said: “Over time, the costs to run buses have increased. We’ve shouldered these growing costs for as long as possible, but now we need to make some changes in order to make sure we can keep bringing you amazing buses.”
