Cliff plunge driver out of hospital

A WOMAN who drove her car over a cliff edge at Flamborough has been released from Hospital.

The Coastguard, Fire Service, Ambulance Service and a rescue helicopter from RAF Leconfield and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance were all involved in the woman’s rescue at around 6pm on Wednesday last week.

The woman suffered non-serious hip, leg and pelvis injuries in the incident and had to be cut out of the vehicle by the rescue teams’s reciprocating saw before being airlifted to Hull Royal infirmary.

Following the incident, rescue services were praised for the manner in which they dealt with the situation.
